İzmir Institute of Technology (İYTE) achieved the distinction of being ranked as the 140th best university in the world in the 2024 International GreenMetric rankings, which evaluate universities in areas such as sustainability, education, and research.

In this year’s GreenMetric rankings, which assess universities based on criteria such as infrastructure, energy, climate change, waste management, water resources, transportation, and education, İYTE improved its position by climbing 13 places compared to last year, securing the 140th spot. Among 1,477 universities from 95 countries, İYTE, a thematic university, has added yet another accomplishment to its recent achievements.
