Our PhD student, Hasan Önder Yılmaz, successfully defended his doctoral dissertation titled “Active Metamaterial Designs For Tunable Scattering Properties” on November 8, 2024. Conducted under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Yaman, this study proposed transmissive metasurfaces that support surface wave formation to control scattering parameters dynamically. The design of these structures at microwave frequencies and experimental measurement results for nonreciprocal transmission and electronically controlled beam-steering metalens antenna applications were presented. We sincerely congratulate Hasan Önder Yılmaz on this achievement and wish him continued success in his future work.
