Dr. Hamed Jabbari Asl received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology in 2013.

Between 2015 and 2025, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher and research fellow at Gyeongsang National University in South Korea, Toyota Technological Institute in Japan, and the Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International (ATR), also in Japan.

His research focuses on control systems, robotics, reinforcement learning, and inverse reinforcement learning. His research experience also encompasses rehabilitation robotics as well as data-driven and learning-based methods for the control and decision-making of dynamical systems. As of August 3, 2026, Dr. Jabbari Asl has joined the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at İzmir Institute of Technology as an Assistant Professor.
