Our student awarded TÜBİTAK 2209 support

The term Li-Fi refers to visible light communication (VLC) technology to provide high-speed communication in a manner similar to Wi-Fi.

Our student Arda Şahin has been awarded TÜBİTAK 2209 support (research project supporting programme for university students) with his project called “Data Communication System Between Two Devices Through Visible Light Spectrum”.

The project is consulted by Dr. Kıvılcım Yüksel Aldoğan and aimed to enhance the performance parameters of a Li-Fi (Light Fidelity) prototype previously developed at the Department. Second aim of the project will be implementing a Medium Access Control to increase the number of users supported by the system.

Li-Fi is a wireless optical networking technology that uses light emitting diodes for transmission of data. The term Li-Fi refers to visible light communication (VLC) technology to provide high-speed communication in a manner similar to Wi-Fi.
