We are pleased to welcome Dr. Cihan Göksu to our faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at İzmir Institute of Technology, effective February 20, 2025.
Dr. Göksu earned his master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU) in 2014 and his Ph.D. from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU Health Tech) in 2017. Following his doctoral studies, he conducted postdoctoral research within a prestigious international collaboration involving DTU Health Tech, the Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance at Hvidovre Hospital, and the High-Field MR division of the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Germany. Throughout his career, he has secured competitive research grants, including the Lundbeck International Postdoctoral Fellowship, leading high-impact research projects.
Dr. Göksu’s academic work focuses on integrating MRI and transcranial brain stimulation techniques to study the electrical properties of the human brain.
