Dr. Fatma Yıldız Taşçıkaraoğlu received her bachelor’s degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Yıldız Technical University and her master’s and doctoral degrees from the Control and Automation Program at Yıldız Technical University.
Between 2006 and 2019, she worked as an academic staff member in the Department of Control and Automation Engineering at Yıldız Technical University and, between 2019 and 2026, in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University. In 2010, she worked as a researcher at Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan as part of her doctoral studies; between 2014 and 2015, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, in the United States; and between 2024 and 2025, she worked as a visiting faculty member at the University of California, San Diego.
Conducting research on control theory, optimization, autonomous systems, intelligent transportation systems, and energy systems, Fatma Yıldız Taşçıkaraoğlu joined the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at İzmir Institute of Technology as an associate professor as of July 3, 2026.
